Just like the shaomai, Siomai sa Tisa is a "Filipinized" (more like Cebuano) version of this classic Chinese dish. Although associated with a particular barangay in Cebu, this delicacy is no longer an exclusive culinary specialty of Tisa, many establishments are now offering their "original" siomai sa Tisa.

It really has become as far as Cebu is concerned and people from as far as Mandaue and Talisay would flock to Tisa just to get to taste this late-night treat. It is often served with its oily chili sauce and a slice of calamansi. Siomai goes well with siopao, puso, and a bottle of Sparkle soda!
