Most Mumbai residents can't live without a bite of Batata Vida whether if it's for breakfast, tea break or any meal of the day. This is a very popular fast food dumpling that is made by mashing boiled potatoes with green chilies, ginger, garlic, lime juice, turmeric and fresh coriander. It is then dipped in a besan (gram flour) and deep fried. It is often served either with fried green chilies or green chutney.
