Although fast food fried chicken has become popular in the region but there is nothing compared to the favorite Malay dish called Ayam Percik. It's basically a barbecued chicken slathered in spicy chili, garlic and ginger sauce mixed with coconut milk.


This traditional Malay dish originated from the state of Kelantan in Malaysia. The secret ingredient that made this special is percik, a mixture of aromatics with rich coconut milk and sour tamarind paste. Just make sure that you leave some for a side dish.
