Suman Magkayap is a sticky rice with coconut milk wrapped in banana leaves then steamed to cook. That's what suman is generally.

This famous delicacy from Tanauan City, Batangas got its name sumang magkayakap because two sumans are tied together. Yakap is a Tagalog word that translates to hug in English. It is served with syrup made from melted sugar. It is inexpensive and available widely.

A festival for this dessert is held in Tanauan City every 10th of March.
